Backup & Recovery Policy
Your shop's data is precious. Here is exactly how we protect it.
VendIQ runs automatic daily backups of every store. If something goes wrong — a wrong deletion, a mistake in a bill, a device change — we can help you recover.
Automatic daily backups
An automatic backup of every store runs each night. Backups include products, bills, udhaar transactions, customers, returns, and settings. They do not include your password or payment method (those are managed by our authentication and Razorpay).
Backup monitoring
Every backup run is logged and monitored. If a backup fails, our team is alerted immediately and re-runs it. You do not need to do anything.
Restore requests
To restore data, open Data → Restore from Profile, pick the date and dataset, and submit a request. Our team confirms within one business day. Premium customers can request an emergency restore by phone.
Retention period
Backups are retained for 30 days on standard plans and 90 days on Premium. Older backups are deleted automatically. When your account is deleted, backups are purged on the next scheduled cycle.
Your responsibilities
Please export a copy of your data at least once every 90 days as an offline safety net. Open Data → Export to download CSV or Excel copies.
After account deletion
Once you request account deletion, your data is removed from the live database within 7 days and from backups within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email at each step.
Business continuity and disaster recovery
Our infrastructure is hosted in geographically redundant data centres. In the event of a regional outage, backups can be restored to a new region. We test our restore process regularly so it is not just theory.
